GAINING YOUR BROTHER
Moreover if thy brother shall trespass against thee, go and tell him his fault between thee and him alone: if he shall hear thee, thou hast gained thy brother. Matt 18:15 KJV

GAINING YOUR BROTHER.
There's the need to stay together united, as one indivisible, though we may be diverse - of many tribes, nations, races and tongues. The Church provides such platform. I say, it's always better to stay "united" than separate then seeking "unity". The former creates bigger rooms for development whereby all matters arising in disputes are resolved amicably creating further ministries within than many headless bodies without, while the latter starts bigotry, births hatred and forms unending breakaways, leaving matters unresolved but nicely whitewashed.
In Acts chapter Six verses one through eight, just after Ananias and Sapphira died because of their anxious careful spirit for tomorrow, murmurings started in the first Church, of the Holy Spirit about how daily needs were met by distribution. Murmuring was always caused and stirred by the mixed-multitude, those following but are unclear nor certain about the Way and cannot tell in simple words: "This is Why we are Here". The Twelve met and had it resolved to appointing Seven deacons who became beacons, of whom was Stephen the great witness.
Trespasses and faults are kinds of sin that are mostly prevalent amongst believers. Both arise from "trying to be good" or "overdo of an act." These acts are termed "sin" because they're never written nor ever thought by God, exceeding limits. God's presence always marks His acts and makes a whole lot difference in our differences. In a nutshell, anything at all - be it obviously bad or evenly good, done without God's presence and express approval is sin. How now much more an overdo??
You gain your brother first by understanding his disposition, that he's trying to do good but turns bad, overdone! Fault comes by a willing but weakened spirit, through working but non-excellent performance, unfinished, resulting into substandard exhibits. Trespasses and faults should be forgiven because they emerged from "good" hearts. Know also, it's wise to overlook an insult. By this way of thinking, you win back your brother even before deliberations begin.
