PEACE AFTER PRAYER
"Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus." Philippians 4:6-7 KJV
Verse of the Day: May 5, 2022.
PEACE AFTER PRAYER.
Ask nothing! O yes, ask God for nothing! This is the first confrontation posed at us this day, that we should be careful nor anxious for nothing! A peaceful mind which also is rested and at home with the Lord ought not be agitated for any reason. For everything s/he would need had been provided.
Here, God presents Himself a responsible Father appealing to our consciences not to add to the sufficient evil of the day by asking for things. God knows our very need, every need and there's just no need asking for "extras" which eventually extradite us from God's presence. God is a responsible God and He'll always provide.
Faith, faith is all we need to harness His provision for the day. It is rightly believed that if we keep our focus on today's bread, our tomorrow is already taken care of. Friend, why not spend today and the rest of your life praising, thanking, worshipping God the Almighty who is potent and able to meet all needs?
Peradventure there's something you think God may have forgotten or not know well enough about you His handiwork, feel free to make your requests known to Him. Yet again, with thankfulness. Lest you're locked out and knocked out for faithlessness. Peace our shepherd will help us in this regard. But then, how peaceful are you after praying? Selah
