Sunday 27-11-2022 MYSTERY OF INIQUITY
The LORD is good, a strong hold in the day of trouble; and he knoweth them that trust in him. Nah 1:7 KJV
The mystery of iniquity begins by not trusting in the Lord who is strong and mighty, one who's mighty in battle but in money, the untrue riches. Those who believe in power of money, don't find the subject of God anything interesting. Those who live trusting in uncertain riches see "waiting on/for God" a sheer waste of time. The ancient Serpent opened Adams' eyes to this ugly fact to end their waiting on the Lord. It asked them in a conversation, "Did God really say you must not eat from any tree in this garden? How come you guys don't eat when hungry? How come you people don't eat from every tree? Why are you Twain so careful to eat anything? Everytime waiting, wasting... Why not put forth your hand to pluck from this tree of Conscience, tree of the knowledge of good and bad and you'll see no need to wait for God all the time, using your number 6." With such sweet smooth words, the Serpent broke their fasting mode to offer them some other kind of wisdom to help them know what, why and how to do things without God!
Money which is the other wisdom, is a perfect substitute for God. The two are masters. Trusting in one makes you distrust the other. Being devoted to the other makes you despise the one. Hating one makes you love the other. God and money don't mix. Whereas, it is written, "the desire to be rich is the root of all evil and sins, all wickedness." If you'll master sin and unravel the mystery of iniquity, money must have loosed its grip on you. And your high trust in God must never be compromised.
