Matthew Twenty-Four, Twenty
But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the sabbath day, Matt 24:20 KJV
Lord Jesus departing the Temple their monumental structure and beaten on His way to Calvary lamented, "If such abominable things were done to Him a living green tree, what then would happen to our own dry trees? Of course, get crushed!" Luke 23:31, He said this to show how desperately wicked the sinful nature of humans can be! The Lord had charged His own disciples to pray that their flight wouldn't be at the time of harvest or some designated days of rest. On these two days, no one is expected to work. At least, not a laborious work whereby it is accounted for as works of the flesh. When the human nature is made to work for God, in its bid to satisfying Him, the works of the flesh are rather generated. But when God by His Spirit is allowed to work "freely" through us, the result is production of this bounteous Fruit of the Spirit! The Lord told His chosen ones to pray that they're not caught unawares, unprepared, especially working at an hour of rest, when no man works! Remember, the Master had departed that Temple, magnificent though it was built with human hands and has found no need for it nor its replicas, which perpetually eject its own Land-Lord.
Pray that your working time won't be against time and timely operations... It then seemed as if, if any of such did exist, it'd amount to more sins being committed and the works of the flesh become more indelible. No one works during rest and ever get blessed! Everything and effort anyone makes during "rest" and "cold" generally amount to waste, of both time and resources, Luke 5:5. For at the time of rest, only God is allowed to work.
