ENTERING YOUR REST 11

JESUS' EASY YOKE, 1

"Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy-laden and overburdened, and I will cause you to rest. [I will easy and relieve and refresh your souls.] Take My yoke upon you and learn of Me, for I am gentle (meek) and humble (lowly) in heart, and you will find rest (relief and ease and refreshment and recreation and blessed quiet) for your souls. FOR MY YOKE IS WHOLESOME (useful, good – not harsh, hard, sharp or pressing, but comfortable, gracious, and pleasant), and MY BURDEN IS LIGHT and easy to be borne." Matt 11:28-30 AMP

I bless the Lord for a new week, thank Him also for last week. Alleluia. This is the final week of observation on the theme: ENTERING YOUR REST and we shall be observing more intently, verse 30 having considered verses 29 and 28 in the previous weeks. Excuse me, if anyone will enter into what God wrote for him before He thought of creating him/her, such must bear in his body the yoke of Jesus, the visible marks of God's ownership. Purposes cannot be unveiled, destiny uncovered except by this process or procedure of making. God made up His mind from onset the very beginning that if anyone will come near Him, at all, such must be like His Son Jesus Christ, who now is both Saviour and Lord. Rom 8:29

John 3:3-5 tell us, except you're born the second time, again by God, become God's own children, you cannot see what God has for you in His kingdom. And except you're led by God's Word and His gentle Holy Spirit, you cannot enter into the realities of God's vision for you, to own and inherit. Thence, meeting this Jesus the General Superintendent of God's work in heaven and earth is necessitated. He was the Word spoken which brought things into existence. At the high time set by God, some 4,000 years after heaven and earth was created, God gave flesh and body to His creative Word and gave it His own name Jesus.

Jesus grew as human lived to the expectation of His name, became great doing good, the very work of replenishing the earth and filling God's creation with the true sense of belonging to God. Jesus Christ was first to popularized "GOD AS A FATHER", though invisible and invincible He is. It means, if God does not give birth to you, you're no part of Him. Neither do you have anything to do with Him even if you're renowned. You may however have your rights to life, though pitched against God, judged and awaiting His wrath. For only God's children are enabled by God's Spirit to enter into His kingdom to possess their possessions.

Know this: Without having God as Parent your life will be restless, uncertain, only full of wishes and dreams. You'll be ambitious - ambition will drive instead of you driving it. Life will appear to you a competition, as if you were that smart when conceived in your mother's belly. Life feels more to you of struggles, unable to love, understand or accept the Creator's will. The manual of your creation - the Bible, will also be abhorrent to you, unloved and unread. You'll be a thief, stealing dreams and visions of others, live rank Xeroxing being fake and unreal, even realized, living in bitter envy of good neighbors, covetous and looking to humans than God.

If you'll enter the fulfilled promises of God, into your promised land of rest, to a simplified life where decision making is fast, safe and secure, a non-competitive dwelling, then you must be born by God. Your parents already birthed you on earth and are no longer any reason for your unrealized life. You, take a step further to be born the second time and become redeemed from the earth's corruption and all corrupt practices. Just as God said in Gen 1:26, "Come, let us create man in our image, after our likeness...", so will He gather the whole heaven again, this time, to specifically make you, uniquely fitted into His plans. Life is not about the competitions, no, it's about purpose, being purposeful!

This is what makes Jesus' yoke easy - purposeful living, building you for You, being fitted into Him, kept functional and operating freely in Him. Here, the Lord Himself supplies you every quantum of strength needed for the rest of your life. There would be sudden change of Source, from human to eternal life, the life everlasting which's unending. The human life will terminated for you and eternal life activated. Your life shall begin to bear good Fruit on its own as against your former life of sowing and working hard and having need to do something to attract God's favour or please Him, still, no fruits. Eternal life is God's very life given to mankind to make us be and act for God, live as gods.

My friend, will you allow this time pass over you? Will you let again, this humble Jesus of Nazareth pass you by? Won't you rise to meet Him officially who's crowned Lord? Enough of calling Him "Lord" "Saviour" when Jesus is nowhere in your life, neither has He saved you from your sins!! Take a bold step to Him to be born the second time and have a new start, that you may have His eternal life instead of the outdating human life. Come now to Jesus! He'll introduce you to the Father and you'll be conceived and born by the help of Holy Spirit, His womb. Your destiny will become visible and purpose, clear for action. All shall be well. Everything will be alright, in Jesus name. The Lord be with you!
