ENTERING YOUR REST 12

JESUS' EASY YOKE, 2

"Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light." Matt 11:28-30 NIV

Everything that anyone can do comes from the soul, the seat of life. Everything that we eventually become emanates from our soul, which first was, before the body. Thereafter, mankind receive the spirit - batteries of life to make us function, move, become whatever is written in the soul. If anyone's soul is thence not rested, such life remains uncertain, undetermined and cannot be saved. Such a person appears volatile, unsettled, unknown, being tossed here and there after every doctrine not knowing right from wrong. Such cannot be used of God nor can he be meaningful or useful for men. Listen to me, the yoke of Jesus settles you by the soul! This yoke like any other weight or lead, helps in stabilizing your person.

Prophet Jeremiah lamented, "Oh youth, it is good that someone bears the yoke while he's young." Lam 3:27 explains that the settling power of God for every man, woman, child, lady, gentleman is this yoke, bearing it while you're young, strapping it the very moment you come to Jesus the very Word of creation. As soon as it lights on you that Jesus holds your brief and breath and you come to Him, without any further ado, take up His yoke. No procrastination! That's your morning, the moment of light, your youth time. Departing away from this high time could be very dangerous, because you may never return to take His yoke. It's possible that you meet the woman you've been waiting for all your life and boom! Before you realize what time is, you're 80years! Where now is this mark of Jesus on you?

This yoke is easy, why run from it? Why would you shy away from bearing this yoke of Jesus? It's like leaving out the engine of your vehicle! You buy a new car, then remove its engine believing all will be well?? Do you imagine that? Does it mean a thing to you? And you know very well that with the engine alone on its chassis, without the body you're good to go! Only for the wind and fear of falling off a moving vehicle. Nothing more! So you see, Jesus is good alone on the chassis and only a privilege to be coupled to Him! Being yoked to Jesus is to be coupled to your driving force, the original engine of your life. Without Him, no man, woman or child can make it - make God.

Friend, what are you doing with a body without the specified engine? Do you plan to waste your life? I know you don't, just want to be sure. But can I ask you this moment to submit your body for coupling? Can I? Most times, vehicles are numbered by their chassis - there you are, with a numbered body but no engine!? I know you don't plan to fail but this failure is obvious. See, is this how you'll be pushing yourself around - beautiful empty body, no engine? Who will even carry you? Whose burden would you be? The answer is simple, you left your engine on its chassis. Go back again!

Lord Jesus said it with all finality, "COME... MY YOKE IS EASY" and still, you haven't believed?? This same engine will drive you, if fitted on you, to heaven when all works shall be concluded here on earth. Haven't you heard of Rolls-Royce engines, how they walk and fly? Why not take it, fit it on you and let it drive while you're inside, driving from inside? Oh no, you're not driving, it's driving you. You're not in the driver's seat, get up, He is! Yours is firmly sit, fasten your seat belt, relax and zoom you go! All provisions and transit expenses paid. No paying for fuel, servicing not even maintenance, He will do everything, provided you wait on Him. Eh, wait, would you pay for all this while journeying in Jesus' vehicle? Ooh I see, the deceitfulness of riches! You think you'll be rich by doing so. Oh poor you without prudence!

I therefore urge and plead with you today by mercies of the eternal God, Give your body to Jesus to fill and bring His words to pass. Your own life, the way you live so far, is abhorrent to you, what would Jesus do with it? Give your body instead. Remember the things spoken at your conception, when you were born - those great movements that the ground shook with signs in the skies and thunders struck all spitting fire? Or maybe yours was rather solemn with joy everywhere and everybody filled with awe that a child was born. Where now is that joy? Are you not rather causing people pain, stealing? Just because you refuse Jesus' yoke, His easy yoke. Or were you even dropped at birth by the wayside like orphan? Why should you die an orphan, without your Father which art in heaven? O boy, Come to Jesus, He'll reveal us the Father and you'll certainly be happy.

Come my friend, take now His yoke. O yes, now, not later. Take His yoke early enough to start your day and probably finish on time, well and strong. Sit down Bro, relax Sis, all will be well. Everything you hope for will come, so far you're weighted on the bottom, yoked and chained to Jesus. It's an easy yoke. I believe God for you, you'll find rest, in Jesus name. Amen
