LEARNING JESUS

"Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light." Matt 11:28-30 AKJV

The yoke of Jesus is God's mark of ownership while His sweet Holy Spirit is the guarantee of our salvation. Anyone, who for any reason evades the step of accepting the yoke of Jesus has no part in God's kingdom, even if he preaches by fire, performing great miracles by signs and wonders. This is because the only way the Father knows, acknowledges those of the household of faith belonging to Him, is by this yoke of Jesus. O yes, it truly helps in learning Jesus!

The learning of Jesus is not memorisation of His acts and wonders nor mere reading of the published character of Jesus, weakling growing to mimicking Jesus or imitating Him. It's some more! At first, when the Lord said, "Come unto me", it triggered something that's quite observing. And what the Master is saying is more a command that cannot be revoked saying, "Become like Me!" The Lord says here, "I am calling you to come that you may grow into Me, that whoever sees you sees Me, coming to the full measure of His stature, with no reduction!" Eph 4:13

This means, to learn of Jesus is to firstly have the seed of Jesus in you that'll grow to become Jesus, the same Jesus not another. This is mystery of God: Everyone that must be saved is "Jesus" only, that the seed of God is in them. It is His seed that can grow to become Him wherever land it's planted. It was at Antioch Acts 11:26, that the disciples were critically observed to be little "Christs", His incarnate, living like Him and were surnamed "Christians". Before then, there was nothing like that, not even while Master was here.

Both the Lord, Jesus and Paul prophesied a possible influx of mixed multitude into the Fold, those with no real passion of Christ. For Jesus, they're falsechrists - proclaiming Christ, defaming His life, some fake christians - Matt 24:24. As at that time, the noun "Christian" was yet pronounced, the Lord would have called them so! Brother Paul called them funfair followers, the false brothers. Hope you're not?

Likewise it's written, "Whoever is born of God does not commit sin because God's seed remains in him; and he CANNOT sin because he's born of God", Jn 3:19. What makes, marks or mars a sinner is the seed of Sin embedded in human life, contrary always to the seed of God called eternal life. It then means, to grow up to Jesus learning of Him is by seed of God only, if in you. This is why Jesus'  "Come to Me" is very crucial in entering your rest.

Listen, "Come, learn of me" is not of mere accumulation of knowledge or some sacred documents but a definite formation of Christ's life and character in you, bearing the mind of Christ, Phil 2:5-11. The way Christ thinks is quite different from the ways of human and you'll need to learn it. This begins by coming to Jesus with the aim of reaching to the full measure of the stature of Christ.

My dear friend, will you not come to learn Jesus, of Him, from Him today? Jesus Christ wants to live in you, move in you and your being, to do everything else He will do in you. Bro, can you become the secret place of Jesus Son of the Highest that you may abide under the shadow of His mightiness? Sis, will you not like to hear and learn by this Horse's mouth? For how long will you dwell in the shadow of doubts listening to hearsays? Why not come to Jesus directly that you may learn Him, not just from Him? My good friend, don't be a false witness of the Jesus you never met, come to Him and closer to receive His yoke and close enough to learn of Him. And the Lord be with you, Amen.
