ENTERING YOUR REST 9
MEEK AND LOWLY JESUS, 2
"Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart; and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light." Matt 11:28-30 WEB
Lest you're frightened thinking working under hot or adverse weather condition isn't good for man, as if we mustn't sweat at all, let me sound this very clearly into your ear drum that God instituted tithing to care for this, Mal 3:11. Whatever work you do, doing with all your might, giving a tenth of its reward to God will recondition your heart never to live by your own strength or sword, not at the peril of providing for yourself. Tithing is thence necessary, paying it first, before anything else. It'll terminate the curse of restlessness and working for nothing.
Jesus the meek and lowly One always provides us the gentle and humble way of meeting God's demands, the requirements of the Law without destroying our real selves. Lord Jesus replied the Jews who thought otherwise about His works saying, "Do not think I've come to abolish the law or the prophets: I am come not to destroy but fulfill them", Matt 5:17. The Lord Himself being a Jew took the law and its heavy burdens, this Code which was written that no one really understood but He, swallowed it in entirety, in full obedience having pacified God's anger of not finding at least one person among humans that truly seeks God - Ps 14 & 53. Jesus then became the new Law because of His righteous death on the Cross, that everybody must have need obey, even in paying your tithes. O yes, you must listen to Jesus! Jesus only! Jesus Christ is the end of the Law, Rom 10:4, so it becomes very dangerous for anyone to follow the Law head-on, attempting to fulfill its righteousness demands without going through its end, Jesus Christ the Son of God!
The gentle way to unlocking your destiny and purpose in life is through Jesus the meek One. Remember, Moses the meekest - Num 12:3! Know that locks ordinarily don't respond to shouts and may never open until it meets its rightful key. The use of keys in opening doors and locks is the gentle meek way which meets God's requirement of us. Paul and Silas in the book of Acts chapter Sixteen, 25-26, prayed and sang praises to God while other prisoners listened, suddenly the prison doors with its foundation were shaken vehemently, opening every lock. That was a miracle! Just as the walls of Jericho sank before Joshua's little army shout! It may not always be.
Having the key to open the locks of your life is the meek way of addressing them. The door of course, won't respond to your size or status, struggle or strength, to your wits or ways but its gentle lowly Key. Once it sights the key, bows! Struggling, shouting, crying, weeping or even perusing the lock will cause you more harm than any good. Soon, there'll be tears, pains and blood everywhere. Yet, the door is not opened. My friend, learn to use the key. It is fast, safe and secure to entering again and again into your rest, by the Door. And you'll find it also easy to come in and go out finding pastures. Jn 10:9
Darkness does not respect any force but of Light. Gentle light makes no sound nor pronouncement, no speech yet, it is heard. As little as strike from a matchstick is, it is able to subdue darkness awhile, for seconds. And Light's period of shinning and reigning could be lengthened through knowledge, acquiring the right tactics. Darkness stalls progress anywhere is, until the meek Light appears to scatter its enterprise. Meanwhile, nothing meaningful can be achieved or seems achievable in darkness. Everything retrogress in the kingdom of darkness....yet it is written, "We are the light of the world!"
One conspicuous thing about lights is their gentleness and effectual nature, reaching down the ends of earth, Ps 19:1-6, not shouting or wailing, yet their voice is heard. Is this not the manner of person you should be, my humble friend? Why then are you wasting time crying before a closed door, in deep darkness of having no understanding of things? Is it not cheaper to use the key than call on blacksmith whose crude method may end your life like thread before the fire? My friend, which is easier: to usher in light or keep shouting for solution in the midst of your darkness? Why would you choose to waste resources than save them? Please come now, come to Him, to Jesus Christ, the gentle Jesus that He may lead you through the doors of your life. Come bowing, not resisting nor refuting His meek suggestions, advices, counsels which are tested and can be trusted, that the doors may open to you of their own accord. Come to this rest! O come, in Jesus name, Amen.
