BLESSING NOT MOUTH

Proverbs 11:11
By the blessing of the upright the city is exalted, but it is overthrown by the mouth of the wicked. AKJV

Blessings or to be called blessed is to have life cultivated in accordance with the blessing. Considering the beatitudes in Matt 5:1-13, it is clear that everyone the Lord pronounced blessed have something commensurate to the life of the blessing. For instance, "Blessed are the merciful, for they shall obtain mercy". Receiving mercy is not by asking but by being merciful. Rom 9:16

The blessing of Isaac rested on Jacob, even though their father Isaac sensed he had been deceived but could not resist the order to bless, because Jacob had the life needful for the blessing. But Esau was found wanting, the spot of his life for the blessing was already sold out. Though he wept bitterly to be blessed by his beloved father Isaac who'd loved his venison, all he got was a curse - "the reserved blessing".

On the other hand, the wicked don't need a life to destroy anything or overthrow something. They're like weeds needing no effort or monitoring nor any supervision. All they do is to talk! Whereas, it takes hard work to attain to blessedness, it requires no work to be wicked - just to talk. These are ones the Lord pronounced woes on in Matt 23. How do you read it?
