SILVER AND GOLD NOT MONEY

Proverbs 16:16
How much better is it to get wisdom than gold! And to get understanding rather to be chosen than silver! AKJV

God creating the universe also impute gold with silver in the earth crust, waiting to be dug for use or explore. All mineral resources has God kept in the earth for one purpose: to develop the earth. They're therefore not for amassment or embezzlement but embellishing the earth. God wanting the earth replenished provided the things kept away, by which it would be filled.

It'll take digging to be able to explore these minerals. The man at Luke 16:1-8, that shrewd dishonest manager, insisted he was not willing to dig nor beg. So, he took another way to help himself, entering into people's heart. What the manager implied was, he was ready to replenish the earth as God commanded all mankind - Gen 1:28. Instead, he decided to dig through people's heart. That's was very wrong - digging people!

Whereas God created silver and gold, He did not create money which is far less incomparable to the golds. Man created money and for man's use only. Lord Jesus when asked if it was good to pay Caesar taxes, asked them to show Him a coin. Then asked, whose inscription is on the money? They answered, Caesar's. He then replied, "Give to Caesar what he gave you and give to God what He's given you - your life and body."

In a way, God does not need or use money.

Gold and silver do appreciate but not money. You'll need to find out this very reason. Take a listen to this audio, download to hear it - why money does not appreciate.

The crux of today's verse is, God isn't talking about money. The word speaks particularly of Silver and Gold created by God. Friend, are you going to sell off your life cheaply for what is not silver nor gold? Even at that, wisdom is still by far better than the glittering gold which do appreciates. The shining silver is nothing compared to understanding a subject. Knowing a thing and helping it grow is better chosen than denying the knowledge of what you know is right.

To sell off your understanding is a shameful disgraceful thing and it must be avoided by all means. Never take a bribe to harm the innocent over that matter you well understood. If not, you'd be eternally robbed of your shared sense and then you'll develop thick skin against God's stimuli, going about with seared conscience, dead to human feeling. Then, you'll be lost on God's redial and finally blinded. Most times, this unfortunate thing is irrecoverable.
