01 BLACKGOSPEL 2024, LISTENING

But whoever listens to me will dwell safely and will be secure, without fear of evil. Prov 1:22 NJV

DAY 1, LISTENING
Besides, the tithe commanded for the New Testament church is listening, which depicts one's readiness to do the will of God. Most times, that is what God sees and approves as obedience. Likewise, anyone that'd disobey may only have to think about it and get credit for it. For instance, Lucifer in Isaiah 14:12-16 had only thought in his heart yet it was counted to him as unrighteousness.

Everything in the Old Testament or Hebrew writing has its true meaning decoded in the New Testament or Greek writing. For tithes, it's listening. The old was merely a shadow of the new - Heb 8:5, 10:1. Listening remains a powerful tool in knowing God or determining if someone will obey the voice of the Lord. It is written, Has the Lord as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices as in obeying the voice of the Lord? To obey is better than sacrifice and to listen better than the fat of rams, 1 Sam 15:22.

Doing the will of God, the righteousness of God is not about the rights or wrongs, not turning the left or the right but simply doing the will of the Father. Following God is not about having a set of rules of dos and don'ts or ever and never or living anyhow thinking the grace of God is always available but following His voice - voice leading. An
